Answer by vintner

Indra Nooyi.

And I’m not sure why it would be unrealistic to act as a role model for my daughter, but whatever.

Answer by Joe Below

Obviously it’s not the Disney Princesses. No one has answered my question. They must not like them because in the end they all get married.

Answer by Tommy

im not a feminist, but cliff and claire huxtable from cosby show. they were clever about parenting!

Answer by Rio Madeira

I’d suggest Benazir Bhutto, but she’d be more of a role model for teenage girls; young girls wouldn’t really understand why she was so well-known. For younger girls, I hear that Sadie from the show “Naturally, Sadie” is somewhat less of a flake than her counterparts in similar shows.

Madeline Albright.

Here are a few that I like:

Julia Morgan, Architect (my favorite!)

Maya Lin, Architect

Ada Lovelace, Enchantress of Numbers

Queen Elizabeth, Kick @$ $ leader

Condoleeza Rice, Secretary of State

Madeline Albright, Secretary of State

J.K. Rowling, Author

Mary Cassat, Artist

Nadia Comaneci, Worlds best athlete

Edit: somebody else mentioned some men as role models for girls and I think that is an extremely valid point. Anybody can be a role model to a young person – it doesn’t matter if they are the opposite gender (but Julia Morgan is still my favorite architect). I think my list does prove, however, that women are perfectly capable of doing great things.

Answer by Bonzai Betty

Arent you the same guy who is anti abortion? And the same guy who does not believe in buying women their personal items? So babies should be born to grow up and face the dysfunction that is you? Get help!!!

Answer by deebakes

Condaleeza Rice for sure. The Women’s U.S. Olympic Soccer Team. Any female surgeon. The only teen or tween ones worth anything positive are Hillary Duff (she constantly donates her time and money to causes) and Mylie Cyrus–despite wearing too much makeup sometimes, she really seems like a centered, family oriented teenager, rather than some little teen tart wanna be sex pot.

Answer by Chani

I’m not sure if you want modern role models, or if they can be throughout time, so…Benazir Bhutto, Rosa Parks, Cleopatra, Amelia Earhart, Joan of Arc, Sandra Day O’Connor, Sally Ride, Margaret Sanger, Harriet Tubman, and last but not least, Oprah Winfrey. Of course there are many more, but none come to mind right now.

Edit: Tommy, why should good parenting figures be good role models for girls? You’re implying that all girls will grow up to be mothers, and that is wrong.

Fully grasp good?
