Computer related to why the animal’s namesake, include the following: the lack of a unique name or?

Quandary caused by P.S.: Why are things related to computers named after animals or otherwise lack creative names?

“Viruses” and “worms” and “horses” attack your computer. Your pointing device is called a “mouse”. Computers have “mother” boards, and “master” and “slave” drives.

Companies are named with idiotic words such as Yahoo, Google or BlueTooth, or named after fruits such as Blackberry and Apple.

Why aren’t high tech things given high tech names instead of something you’d see in a zoo or a biology class.

I’m sick of it.

becuase they aer easy to prnounce and they have a simmilar corrolation to what the word they used is like virus if u get one you are sick so if you computer gets one it is like it is sick. its because of the corrolation of the tw things.

Viruses and worms are so named because they behave like their biological equivalents. Torjan horses, which is probably what you refer to works like the original Trojan horse. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_horse ) The mouse is called a mouse because to be honest, it really does look like one. (Hold it up and look at it from the side…)

Anything that begins with “mother” usually refers to “main”. You also have motherships for fleets, say. Bluetooth was originally a code name that eventually stuck and became the official name. It was chosen after a Danish king, named Harald Bluetooth ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harald_Bluetooth )

Also, if you think about it, most things in the computer world are given high tech names. They are just usually hidden behind abbreviations like USB, which means Universal Serial Bus, VGA for Video Graphics Array, HDMI for High Definition Multimedia Interface and so on.
