There have been Anglican female Priests for decades now, so this could be an issue. I like the idea of calling a Priest “Father” because it is a reminder to him of the position he holds and the obligations he has. But why do we do this?

Women Anglican priests are called Reverend, Pastor, Rector, Vicar,Presbyter, Mother, Sister among other titles

Actually, protestants used to call their male pastors “father” and Catholics used to call them “mister”.

An Anglican or Episcopal Woman Priest is termed ‘Mother’.

You may also use the word ‘Reverend’ as an alternative.
