I have no doubt that the cop is one of those “over-eager’ ones.

Listen to the statement he made to a Reporter. He is full of it.

I am white and an ardent supporter of the Police. Never had any problems with a Cop. In fact some years back I locked myself out of my Home and tried to get in as a Cop drove by. He stopped, inquired as to what I was doing and then assisted me in getting in. That is a Cop.

And let us be honest, how would each one of us act if we are being

bullied in our own Home. And it had been established, that Prof. Gates

belonged in that Home.

Answer by grandmac38
They didn’t tell what the rest of it was because it was too offensive for tv.

Use your imagination as to what he said that was offensive and you’ll get the message!

Answer by adhil12
The policeman was doing his job, and the president could not stand up for him, Why do you suppose that is?

Answer by Tiny Dan
i heard the cop told the n*gger to get down on the ground and shut the fuck up and called him n*gger 2 or 3 more times before backup arrived that is why a well respected person like gates was totally outraged as he should of been and the cop baited him into a disorderly charge that got thrown out as soon as it hit the DA’s office

abuse of power by a racist cop , maybe

Answer by Ret. Sgt.
I am certain you are being facetious. Try saying the exact same phrase in Spanish/ Tex/ Mex. It is simply said “Su Madre” Just a shortened version of of NOT using the Mother of all swear words in front of Su Madre and Yo momma.

Now, go out on the street and find a male that is black or Hispanic and practice saying this to either of those races. You can write from the hospital and let us know how you made out.

So tell me, you really are kidding.

Answer by D-Fresh
It is the ulitimate insult to refer “your momma” to someone. The professor made a slight slip up because he for a split second forgot the policeman was white, not black. The phrase does not inflame whites like it does blacks.

Answer by Bro
To quote:

“In Greek mythology, Maia was the eldest of the Pleiades, the seven daughters of the Titan Atlas. Their beauty moved the hunter Orion to pursue them without rest, and in pity Zeus transformed the sisters into stars. Orion made the transition, too, and every clear night they resume their chase. Maia was also the mother of Hermes, the messenger god.

In Roman tradition, the same name was attributed to an earth goddess, though her identification with the Greek Maia was not consistent. The month of May was named in her honor.

In Maori, it means brave warrior.”

It means different things in different languages. Makes sense, right? It’s a simple combination of sounds. Ma-Ya
