Ok my step son has to do everything himself, he wants to eat he pulls food out of the freezer (yeah he eats only frozen dinners), he set’s his own bedtime, he get’s himself up and off to school, does his own laundry and it is his responsibility to make sure his homework gets done, it has been this was for a little over a year and he just turned 13.

My ex-step sister has her kids (ages 10 & 8) clean the house, do the laundry, don’t help then with school work, they set their own bed time, and they are currently potty training their younger brother (age 3), they change all the diapers when they are home – sibling’s are 3 and 1 year.

To me it just sounds like these kids are just raising themselves or is it just me? Why have kids if you don’t want to take care of them??

I really don’t think these mother do anything but put a roof over their kids head and give them a bed to sleep in….what happened to being a “mother”?

It sounds like they are just plain lazy. It is fine to ask your older kids for a little help with the younger ones sometimes, but they shouldn’t be expected to do everything.

In the case of the 13-year old, I can understand giving him some responsibility. But, he is doing too much for a child his age. He will feel anxious, neglected, and his grades will probably suffer if this keeps up. Also, he will be more likely to fall in with a bad crowd since he is being given so much freedom and no oversight.

As for the younger kids, that is just very sad. It sounds like the parents are lazy, overworked, negligent, or apathetic. Whatever the reason, someone should call social services to make a few house calls. That might scare them into being actual parents.

ALSO I’m not so sure it is all the mother’s fault. What happened to the FATHER’s duties to care for and discipline his children, also? After all, he had half of the responsibility in creating the children, he does not get off the hook. I think BOTH parents are responsible.

It’s good to teach kids responsibility and to let them help with the things you mention but your ex step sister is going Way overboard, she IS just letting the children raise themselves. She needs to grow up and start taking responsibility instead of putting it all on her children.

We all know Nibelheim is where Sephiroth learned the truth about himself and he went crazy and burned the place down. But why did Square show Cloud in the FFVII flashbacks and not Zack? If you ever played FInal Fantasy 7 all the way through,, you would know that Cloud was merely intended to be another clone of Sephiroth, but he was defective and deemed a failure by Hojo, and Zack rescued Cloud and traveled with him to Midgar for a new life, but Zack was killed in the fields outside of Midgar.

Afterwhich, Cloud entered Midgar, but created this persona ( and memories) of himself in place of Zack.

Cloud never made it to SOLDIER ( the elite class of fighters in the Shinra army). and the glow in his eyes is exposure to Mako, but it was from the experimentation on him by Hojo, rather than him being a part of SOLDIER.

However, in the story, both Cloud and Zack went to Nibelheim, during the checkup of the reactor and when Sephiroth went insane. Zack was one of the members of SOLDIER who went with sephiroth, while Cloud was merely a grunt ( one of the men in blue shinra uniforms)

Cloud did in fact face off with Sephiroth in Nibelheim, and managed to knock Sephiroth into the Life Stream, reportedly killing him.

Cloud inherited Zack’s memories, so he thought that it was he who did all that, and not Zack.

As above, Cloud was there but only as a normal shinra soldier. After the whole incident Cloud goes psycho and thinks he’s Zack, so he remembers everything as though he was really Zack.

Cloud doesn’t realize this until late in the game, when he’s in a comatose state from mako poisoning after flaling in the lifestream. He and Tifa go on a psychological/spiritual journey to uncover what really happened in Nibelheim.

End result – Cloud never made it to SOLDIER, he was too ashamed and subconsciously created this persona where he thinks he is Zack. When he returns to Midgar he goes on believing this for a couple years until the events of the game.

um it happens all the time u might be suffering from supressed or repressed memories(not sure which term). Your mother may of course deny it cause she does not know of it happening. You may need to seek therapy to figure out if its true or not.

Honey i would be very stren with telling your mom that let her know that u do think its real and your scared and you need her help. if she doesnt help you then, then i would go tell the cops (personally thats just me but ya) dont be afraid to tell them that u think that you were abusid as a child…

And with your mom, if she says its an accedent then it might have been, but if you think it wasnt deff tell the cops that to!

i think it is possible i’ve been kinda questioning tha same thing myself with another relative in my family except it wasn’t a sexual abuse but on a smaller level and the only reason why i know it’s true is b/c i remember it as a little girl…ppl tried to tell me that such a thing never happened but they didn’t know shit…i believe it most likely is true,u can’t trick kids u know? ppl remember things on the other hand u could’ve had a bad dream and think it might’ve been true…?

yes it is possible

sometimes with the mind you tend to repress memories until maybe one day

you are just doing your usual thing and someting that you look at, smell or hear can remind of of certain memoried that you wouldnt remember any given day.

and i was molested by my step father when i was 4-7

and sometimes i totolly forget that it happend to me

until something reminds me of it.

and if it never happened it could probably be a fear of getting sexually abused becuase i remeber having weird memories like going to england as a little girl but it never happened it was just a dream i had that was so realistic and it made its way into my “reality memory bank”

This is an awful thing to have to wrestle with and I cannot imagine the anguish that it is giving you. Yes, it is possible as it happens more than people realise. But unless you have firm memories that you can categorically quote, you may be best served getting on with your life and not searching the past. Everyone has skeletons, some worse than others, but tomorrow can always be a better day. Whatever the truth, you have to handle this as an adult and choose a happy life or worry over things that will never happen again. Take care …

Maybe at 4-7 you knew it was going on, but the memories of this are so painful & scarey you have supressed it. You should get into therapy. My dtr. was almost 4 when I found out. She is now 21 & is in denia. Even to the point of having her 3 girls 1-4 around him(not alone, but shouldnt anyways). She makes me feel awful, I protected her & her brother & now they are 19 & 21, they have all contact w/him & treat me terribly. This is why some moms dont want to deal w/it. If I had to do it all over again, I would still have him go t prison. My kids are in this fantasy that this is now & that was then. Go to therapy because there’s a chance you will marry a child molester or have some other kind of catastrophie in years to come. Good luck! Dont be afraid, you are a strong survivor.
