Well, I won’t try to understand what it’s like to be a parent but I’ll try to give you the best answer I can.
When adopting a child, I suppose most parents become over protective and they want to make the child as happy as possible. For most, they wouldn’t you to find out and feel like you don’t belong. I’m sure they love you as if you were they’re flesh and blood and I’m sure that how they want you to feel. They probably don’t think it matters that your adopted, but that you’re their child now. Parents lie for many reasons: To protect, to reassure, for what they believe is right. Sometimes we don’t understand and we get angry but we learn to forgive because we learn why it happened to begin with. Talk with them and express your concerns. Know that they love you and that they only want you to feel like you belong with them and that it shouldn’t matter if your adopted or not. The hardest thing to do is to forgive people– that requires strength in more ways then one. Life’s too short to be angry all the time. Each moment you spend angry, is another moment of happiness you lose. Give them a chance to explain. If you love them and they love you then it shouldn’t matter. They’re your family. ^-^
