Trouble courtesy of imagenius81: Can someone help me find these two scenes from scary movies?

Scene one: there is a couple laying in bed and bugs crawling over the blanket. From their feet to their head. Sorry that’s all I got.

We see the two people and hear the shower running in the background)

Scene two: a mother comes home and is in the kitchen talking with one of her daughters. Here is the script with the characters.

Mother: “sounds like your sister is home.”

Daughter: “No she’s not.”

Mother: “How is the shower running then?”

Daughter: “It’s not running.”

(The mother than heads upstairs to see the daughter and prove the shower is, in fact, runnning. As she is heading upstairs, we still hear the shower. We hear it as she enters the bathroom. She throws the curtain back to reveal….nothing. No person in shower and the shower is not even running, either.)

The two scenes are from different movies, I think. If someone could please help me find both movies, I would appreciate it. Been on my mind for over 15 years. Thanks.

The two scenes are from different movies, I think. If someone could please help me find both movies, I would appreciate it. Been on my mind for over 15 years. Thanks.

Your second description reminds me of an old made-for-TV movie starring Patty Duke: Grave Secrets: The Legacy of Hilltop Drive (1992)

In this bizarre thriller, based on a true story, a family moves into their dream house and are appalled to discover that they are not alone when strange things begin to happen, like the toilet flushing by itself. It soon becomes apparent that the special tenants are angry spirits out to destroy the family and their neighbors who have built their homes on top of a graveyard.
