You can get puppy milk replacer and a feeding bottle from the vet or possibly a feed store, and yes, the pup is way too young . They shouldnt be away from mother until at least 8 weeks, but baby milk is too strong for puppies. The milk replacer comes with instructions on how to mix and what dosage for the size or age of puppy.

Actually at 4 weeks old even though the “ideal” picture would be for it to be with the mom it is NOT as bad as you think…pups at 4 weeks old should be able to start eating “small” amounts of puppy chow….also go to your local pet store they sell special milk for dogs/cats that is suppose to be just like the moms….that with the puppy chow & you should be good….I do NOT think your puppy will die….=0) Good luck you should be fine….

Often a mother dog can’t produce enough food or all of her puppies or there is something wrong and the puppies must be taken away. Your puppy can be fine if you do things right.

You can get a milk replacer from a pet store or a vet. If I were you I’d do the vet since you should take the puppy to get wormed, checked over, and vaccinated anyway. The vet can also tell you things like how much he should weigh and if he is gaining weight or needs anything special.

Feed your puppy 4-5 times a day. In addition to milk replacer you should feed him a quality puppy food softened with water. (the food should have instructions on how much to feed). Some good brands that Petco usually carries is Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Royal Canin, or Solid Gold. Make sure to feed PUPPY FOOD (and if he is a large breed (boxer, lab) then feed a large breed puppy food.

It is unfortunate that your puppy is away from his mother and litter because he needs to learn how to interact with other dogs (and that biting too hard is bad!). When he has all of his shots (around 16 weeks) you should start a puppy kindergarten class and take your pup around other dogs who you know have their shots and are friendly with other dogs. Also make sure he meets lots of people so he isn’t scared or aggressive with them.
