My native language is english, because I speak it the most, but I was taught Italian and German when I was growing up so that I could communicate with both sets of grandparents.

Italian: Mama or Madre

German: Mutter or Mutti

I call her my mom. I speak English with a midwestern accent. Not sure if it is really considered an accent though because all the national media TV channels feature people that talk like me and not east coasters, southerners, or those trendy California people. I think it’s funny how the media in the U.S. for the most part only allows those with a midwest American accent to speak on TV.

Have any idea greater?
