It would be your duty to “out” them. Baptism certificates are one of the ways governments and corporations establish identity and to the biology incorrectly would not only be fraud but could lead to problems later.

Answer by Opinionated and Right

If she is the “legal mother”, she has every right to be listed as the mother on the baptism certificate. She is being kind allowing the biological parents as God Parents.

Answer by Doing the Math

Most likely she is not telling the church. The church’s baptismanal papers do not have any legal weight. The government “knows” whose parent this child is. As far as the Baptism papers go, the child could be a “cabbage patch” kid.

Maybe this person is trying to get child support payments from the government for a child she claims to have.

Personally I think there is a screw loose upstairs.
